Shibataea Genus -
My 4 members of this genus have unique leaf forms from other bamboos but very similar to each other within the genus, I am unable to distinguish between S. chinensis & S. kumasaca - apparently the S. kumasaca will become taller over time but the S. chinensis has started to exceed it. These plants will do well in sun or shade but they require acidic soils to maintain fresh looking leaves.  I really want the Shibataea lancifolia to get taller and form a shrub as mine is thus far a ground hugger, and protecting it in winter has helped it to size up.  I have recently planted some in a better site to see if it will size up.
These guys look good until temps approach the low single digits with the S. chinensis & S. kumasaca seeming noticeably hardier than S. lancifolia, I have a form similar in appearance to S. lancifolia - S.nanpingensis but have not grown it long enough for performance observations.

Shibataea kumasaca, sometimes called 'bears claw' bamboo due to the unique leaf shape. The fern leaf plant in the foreground is Pleioblastus pygmaeus 'Ramosissimus'.

Shibataea lancifolia, so far a ground cover for me I am hoping to have it realize its potential as a taller, rounded shrub.
