Phyllostachys
nidularia - I did not obtain
one of these until the spring of 2006 as it is my understanding that it
does not have much cold tolerance. It is such a beautiful bamboo that
I finally purchased a seedling from a flowering a few years back and even
as a little plant this one is really pretty. The clone I have has been named
Nidularia 'Double Node' due to the exaggerated
swelling at the nodes - not yet apparent on this youngster. I
don't expect much out of this one in terms of size but even if it stays
small it will be a real beauty to enjoy as an ornamental. |
