| Phyllostachys lithophylla - I don't know what to expect from this one, it held up well in the mild winter of 2005-06, but top killed the following year and is now smaller than in the 2005 photo below but it has started to spread some. I believe that this bamboo comes from southern China or perhaps Taiwan and it may not be terribly hardy. It is a very erect bamboo and has a unique leaf coloration & thick, glossy texture, I believe that this is known as 'Shanghai 1' in Europe. | |||||
