         Phyllostachys elegans - I don't expect much out of this one and my current plant is a tiny 2 year old. Not reported to be particularly hardy and supposedly a very early shooter which is not good in areas that often receive late cold snaps, this may not be a zone 6 bamboo. This bamboo has top killed both winters I've had it. Additionally this species is known to flower quite frequently.
